Thirukkural was composed by Tamil poet Thiruvalluar 2000 years ago but still it is contemporary and quiet followable by everybody apart from caste,creed,religion, country and language barriers. Thirukkural is translated in almost all world most read languages.My humble request to one and all is kindly take some effort to read Thirukkural,know what it says think over its sayings and decide yourself if it can be followed or adopted to your life. For example the 314th kural teaches nonviolence. That is it says if a person do harm to you ,the way to punish him back is do some good thing to him so that he can feel ashamed of himself .

I came across someplace that there was someone named 'Santh Ravidass' renown to be preaching in the north at the same era of Thiruvalluvar. His works where compared with that of Thiruvalluvar's as experts claim that their works were quite similar. But apparently, time on time, his preaching's went unnoticed...
