When you charge the mobile phone the electrical energy that goes to the battery of the mobile phone creates chemical changes in the chemicals that are filled in the battery of the mobile phone and a new chemical is formed ,after the charging is over the new chemical begins to react within itself and a new so to say the former chemical is formed and during this process it releases current and that current is used by the mobile phone for its activities.The process explained above repeatedly takes place whenever you charge the mobile phone and use it.The same thing happens to the car battery charging also.
Ever tried the eco-friendly way. I've got no clue about the car battery but it definitely can be done in the mobile batteries!

I'd have explain it here, if only I had known the technical terms of what the battery tip and that induction point is called !
